About the Department

The Department of Neonatology is located in newly built mother and child hospital and old hospital building. Neonatology deptt is the apex neonatology centre which provide tertiary level care to the sick newborns. The department is well equipped with all tertiary level care instruments like high end neonatal ventilators, cerebral function monitors, ultrasound cum echo machine, high flow nasal cannula, CPA, transport incubators and T piece resuscitators etc. Also Kangaroo Mother care unit of the department is one of the largest unit of the state taking care of very preterm and low birth weight neonates.

Awards/Recognitions achieved by the department

1. Award for best paper(Ist Prize) for paper entitled ‘Comparison of nasal parameters and CPAP interface as measured by three dimensional imaging in preterm infants less than 35 weeks of gestation’ at 37th annual conference of National Neonatology Forum (NEOCON 2017) held at 7 TO 10th dec 2017, hotel Lemon tree Gurgaon. 3. Organised ‘essential neonatal skill workshop’ as a part of ARMSCON 2018
